Machine Polished — 1-Step $300 · 2-Step $600
Paint correction.Clarity restored.
Paint correction is the machine polishing that removes swirl marks, light scratches, water spotting, and oxidation from your clear coat. It is the difference between paint that looks clean and paint that looks deep. Everything is done with a machine polisher, measured pads, and a paint-depth gauge. Nothing is hidden with fillers or glaze.
One-step correction $300. Two-step correction $600. Quoted after inspecting the paint.
One-step or two-step
A one-step uses a single polish and pad combination to remove the majority of light defects while refining gloss. It is right for newer vehicles, dealer-wash marring, and owners who want a major improvement in a day.
A two-step starts with a heavier compound to cut deeper scratches and oxidation, then follows with a finishing polish to bring back full clarity. It is what most older or neglected vehicles need to look truly corrected.
What correction can and cannot fix
It removes defects that live in the clear coat: swirls from automatic car washes, light scratches, holograms from bad polishing, water etching, and faded, oxidized paint. It cannot remove scratches that go through the clear coat to the color or primer. If a fingernail catches in it, we will tell you honestly before we start.
Pair it with a coating
Correction gets the paint right. A ceramic coating keeps it there. Most clients book them together so the corrected finish is protected the same day, rather than being exposed to the next winter uncoated.
FAQ
Good questions.
Straight answers.
- Will paint correction thin my clear coat?
- A small amount of clear coat is removed, measured in microns. We check paint depth before and during the process and stop where it is safe. This is why we do not over-polish and why we recommend a coating afterward.
- How long do the results last?
- The defects we remove are gone permanently. New swirls come from how the vehicle is washed afterward. Hand washing with proper technique, or a coating plus gentle maintenance, keeps corrected paint looking corrected for years.
- Can you fix a single panel?
- Yes. Spot corrections on a hood, door, or trunk lid are common. Send photos and we will quote it.
